What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I need to know the community's opinion about the game before adding improvements and continuing to invest time in development. If the game is not financially viable, I will focus on other projects and abandon the development of the game and the M.A.Z.E. franchise.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game has been verified by a selection of beta testers and should not have any major issues. Therefore, the early access period will likely be "short" (a minimum of 6 months).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Optimizations, cinematics, and improvements to gameplay and interface.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes all the main features mentioned in the "About This Game" section.

The game is fully playable from start to finish with the available content, although some elements are subject to tweaking, improvements, and optimization based on community feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price of all M.A.Z.E. levels will not change after the release date unless absolutely necessary, as I want it to be accessible to everyone.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community plays a crucial role in development during Early Access.
Community feedback will be key to refining mechanics, balancing difficulty, improving the user experience, and prioritizing new features or content.

We want players to be an active part of the process by sharing ideas, reporting bugs, and helping shape the future of the game.”

About This Game

Try the first of many levels in M.A.Z.E, the beginning of a mysterious story where you are a part of it.

Explore the vast dimensions of the labyrinth, empty spaces, endless hallways, and towering walls await you. So hurry up... time is running.

Solve different puzzles and riddles to progress, but be careful, this place will make you lose your way more than once. Sometimes, it even seems like the walls move on their own...

Discover the mysteries hidden within this labyrinth. Collect clues, uncover secrets, and find things you might wish you hadn’t seen.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

Partially pixelated graphics with a Found Footage style experience that provides a first-person view through a video camera. It also features an immersive audio system adapted to the labyrinth’s massive scale, along with sound effects that create constant tension.

UNIQUE LEVEL DESIGN

No random generation, a single massive hand-crafted map designed specifically to make you get lost easily while still allowing you to remember every part of the labyrinth. Liminal spaces and a deep sense of isolation combined.

ENTITIES

Although it may seem like you're alone in this place, nothing could be further from the truth. During the day, you might feel "safe," but with each passing night, the chances of an attack by creatures increase, and your survival odds decrease.

NO MANUAL SAVING

If you want to survive and complete the labyrinth, you will have only one chance. You cannot save your progress, and you will likely die more than once before completing M.A.Z.E. You can consider this game a "rogue-like," but the only thing you will keep after dying is your memory.
