Wretch: Divine Ascent is a dark fantasy 1v1 auto battler game with 3D action elements inspired by Backpack Battle developed by the UE engine.

In the game, you have a complete backpack that allows you to purchase various items (equipment, accessories, skills, etc.), creating a powerful build unique to you. Specific combinations of items can fuse to form unique items that cannot be purchased from the shop. The properties of the items and the actions of your skills will be the key factors in determining victory in your battles.

Strategic Backpack Management

In Wretch: Divine Ascent, you will use the items in your backpack to fight. Your combat power depends on the choice of items, and most importantly, on how the items are arranged in the backpack! The better the arrangement, the stronger your combat power will be!

Every player starts with a complete backpack filled with a variety of items, including weapons, various armors, exquisite accessories, and unique skills. These items are not isolated; specific combinations can produce powerful effects, even synthesizing unique items that cannot be purchased in the shop. You need to carefully choose and manage your items, leveraging their unique characteristics to construct a distinct and powerful combat style. In the heat of battle, how you select and utilize these items will directly influence your success or failure.

Diverse Role Selection and Combo Customization

In the game, there are several characters to choose from, each with unique skills and attributes in the current trial version. These characters not only stand out in appearance and style but also showcase different approaches in combat. Notably, players can imbue skills with unique buffs through items, such as critical hits, speed boosts, and block enhancements.

The connections between skills are also crucial for victory; clever combo design allows you to quickly unleash follow-up attacks after breaking your opponent’s stance. As your strategy interweaves with the ever-changing battlefield, mastering the use of combo techniques will be your key to winning.

Ten Trials: Challenge Your Opponents

In each game, you will experience 10 battles, each against real players. We use asynchronous online play, and you will have 3 chances to fail. If you win all 10 battles, you will receive generous point rewards. Currently, the demo version does not include a points leaderboard, but we will add it in the official version. In the future, you will be able to see your rank through the leaderboard.

About The Demo

The current demo version will include three characters along with more than 160 different items, equipment, and abilities to choose from and combine.

The game is still under development, and we hope to meet everyone soon!

The game's  specific features include roguelike mechanics with backpack management gameplay, a dark medieval style, and real-time combat in one-on-one duels. In the future, the official version will introduce more characters, additional combo items, and new elemental systems to create richer builds. We will also continue to refine the game's balance, and we hope everyone can provide more suggestions.
