«Barren Roads is a game made for the community. Most of the ideas for Barren Roads were based on feedback from the community.

We plan to create new content, fix issues, and introduce gameplay inspired by the suggestions of the followers for Barren Roads.»

«We anticipate we can get a solid release this year by gathering information from gamers and active participants in the community.»

«The full version will be battle tested by gamers and the community. All filled with their input. A completely finished version will have you matching wits against the best of the Steam, iOS, and Android communities.

Hva er nåværende tilstand for versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«Barren Roads is fully functional with vehicles, fort building, item drops, mutant enemies, and raiders. Also, it has a very open multiplayer experience.

Its quite buggy and filled with placeholders. Some of the bugs are somewhat entertaining as cars self destruct randomly, mount points are off and sometimes animations play way off.

However, enjoy Barren Roads the way you want. We didn't follow another game. We created our own based on what gamers want. Single player, LAN, or online experience. The choice is yours.»

«More polished versions of Barren Roads will increase over time which may affect pricing.»

«Community is key when it comes to making games. Barren Roads is no different. Sometimes our vision of what is entertaining isn't what gamers want. We do our best to implement all the great feedback and ideas from players while incorporating our own. Many of the request from players; if we reasonable and possible, we just add. Its there, if you want to use it.»

Nuclear weapons have the left the world barren and scorched the earth. Survival has never been harder for mankind. Resources are scarce as life has left this world. You are forced to constantly move and scavenge the next area for resources. Rivers are dry. Many of wanderers never survived the icy nights as the moon crosses the sky. Roam a massive streaming map featuring ruined highways and cities. Survive and outwit other survivors, like yourself. Scavenge, loot, and explore during the day and find shelter during the freezing nights. Beware of the beasts and unknown as the sun sets.

Basic non-competitive multiplayer online or LAN.
Permadeath.
Random event system for a different experience every play

Line of sight and hearing enabled.

Map streaming system.
Huge streaming map - if you can see it. You can walk to it.
A massive content filled world. Likely the largest on the appstore.
