What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access gives players the chance to experience the foundation of the game while it's still in active development. The core systems—power management, survival, exploration, and crafting—are already functional, but there are still bugs and broken features that need fixing.

One of the major known issues right now is with the AI system, which is not behaving as intended in the current build. I’m already working on updates and fixes, and my priority is to stabilize AI behavior and overall performance as soon as possible.

Releasing in Early Access allows me to gather feedback, improve quickly, and build a better game alongside the community. Your support and input during this phase is what will help shape the final experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 2 year”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
The full version is planned to expand and polish every aspect of the game. The Early Access build focuses on the core survival and power systems, but the long-term goal is a much deeper, more immersive experience. This includes:

Planned Feature – Power Station Defense
The Power Station will evolve into a tower-defence style system. Every seven in-game days, a hostile horde will attack, and players will need to build, power, and manage defensive systems to protect it.If you fail game over.

Some assets and mechanics already present in the game are designed for this future feature and may not fully make sense until this system is implemented.

More advanced AI with purposeful behavior, expanded roles, and improved interactions with the world

Expanded vehicle functionality, including trailers, trucks, and vehicle-specific roles like power system maintenance

More complex power management, including deeper installation, repair, and balancing mechanics

Larger, more detailed world with new zones, hidden locations, and community upgrades

Improved crafting, farming, and base-building systems, offering more flexibility and progression

Better loot and exploration systems, with more varied loot zones, enemy encounters, and challenges

Additional weapons and customization, including unique parts, upgrades, and rare finds

Full UI/UX overhaul for better player experience, clearer systems, and quality-of-life improvements

Performance optimization and bug fixing, to ensure the game runs smoother and more reliably

Visual polish, improved animations, and environmental storytelling

The goal is to take what exists in Early Access and turn it into a more complete, reactive world where player choices, survival strategies, and power management all meaningfully impact gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core systems that define the game—power management, base building, exploration, crafting, and trading across multiple communities. The world is playable, and the key gameplay loop is functional. However, as expected with an early build, there are still many issues being worked on.

Some of the current limitations include:

Broken or limited AI behavior, which is actively being worked on

Unbalanced or placeholder items, with some potentially not working as intended

Performance hitches and minor visual bugs

Some missing polish across UI, animations, and world design

This version is a foundation—meant to be tested, improved, and built upon with player feedback. The vision is there, the systems are in place, but many areas still need refining. Updates and fixes will be rolled out as development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The base price of the game is planned to stay the same during and after Early Access. Instead of raising the core price, I plan to support the game with optional DLCs in the future—these could include things like extra vehicles, furniture sets, cosmetic upgrades, or other non-essential content.

The main game experience, updates, and core systems will remain fully available to all players without additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to involve the community mainly through social media updates, feedback posts, and open communication. Since I’m a solo developer with a full-time job and a family of six, my time is limited—but I’m fully committed to listening to players and improving the game based on real feedback.

I’ll share what I can, when I can, and keep players updated on progress, bug fixes, and upcoming features. Every bit of support, patience, and feedback from the community genuinely helps shape the future of the game, and I’m grateful for it.”

About This Game

Island Reclamation is a gripping post-apocalyptic survival experience where fragmented islands hold the key to humanity’s rebirth. As a resilient survivor, your mission is clear: restore power, rebuild infrastructure, and navigate the fragile balance between diplomacy and survival. ⚡

Reactivating the islands’ main power lines is only the beginning. You must construct and maintain power stations across hostile territory while supplying electricity to isolated settlements where traders live. Without power, these communities refuse to cooperate. With it, they may reward you — if they trust you.

Every settlement controls critical resources such as sawmills, mines, and transport access. Carefully choose when to negotiate, when to trade, and when to scavenge abandoned buildings for valuables to exchange for gold. Use your earnings to unlock access to essential materials like wood, stone, iron, and vehicles needed to expand your reach across the islands. 🚗

But restoring power attracts attention.

Every 7 days, waves of enemy troops launch coordinated assaults on your power stations. Build defensive turrets, reinforce positions, and prepare your infrastructure for survival against escalating attacks. Protecting your grid becomes just as important as building it. 🔧🛡️

Trust matters. Settlements that respect you will reward your efforts with gold for providing power. Distrustful communities may still trade—but only if you keep your weapon lowered. Draw your firearm, and you’ll have only seconds before negotiations turn into gunfire.

Cars and trailers become essential for transporting large quantities of materials across dangerous terrain, overcoming strict carrying limits as you expand and defend the electrical network linking the islands together.

Adapt your strategy. Trade, negotiate, defend, or take risks when necessary.

The future of the islands—and the fragile return of civilization—rests in your hands. 🌍⚡
