The King's Despair is an action and adventure Roguelite in which every decision you make matters. Face enemies in dynamic combats, gather supplies in order to survive outdoors and meet a wide cast of characters whose intentions may not align with yours...

Become The King, the hated monarch of a crumbling kingdom, determined to do whatever it takes to keep his crown.

Escape from an uprising led by those who once obeyed your every command. Uncover the secrets of a grand conspiracy against you and find a way to reclaim your absolute power.

  • Engage in dynamic real-time combat reminiscent of classic games, challenging your skills to the fullest. Use melee or ranged weapong to fight with brutal bosses and dominate once again the lands and people, who once kneeled before you.

  • Equip yourself with a wide variety of swords, bows, axes, shields (or even a frying pan!) to defeat your opponents in epic battles. Stock up on multiple supplies and make sure you don't starve to death.

  • Make cunning decisions, choose your own path to attempt to escape your fate while discovering multiple endings. But tread carefully! You can’t trust anyone—not even yourself. Each decision you make will affect the results you get. Try different paths and discover unexpected endings.

  • Explore a richly detailed medieval fantasy world in top-down pixel art. Discover majestic realms filled with enemies, traitors, and dangerous dungeons hiding secrets and incredible loots. Meet a wide cast of characters, each with their own issues and goals.
