Indie-game projects need your help. Working on a game like Piñata Puppy World, we're really invested in making a game and experience that feels incredibly nostalgic, but without a budget it limits and constricts the ability to build the story and experience.

We need to reach our Kickstarter goal to pay and empower the development team and release the game we want. However! The more we raise, the highest priority the release is, letting us work full-time on it while still support ourselves, and the more we can expand the world and project.

Piñata Puppy World is a nostalgia-driven explorative campaign game inspired by the 2000s, featuring an emotional and surreal storyline where players explore their past through the lens of a grainy VHS camera, disguised within the genre of “Mascot Horror”.

Have you ever seen a picture of a childhood memory and felt like you belonged there? 

Through the lens of a VHS camcorder, we want to bring you back in time to step foot into the places from your past. The exploration based gameplay is able to tackle and tell you, the player, a story about nostalgia as we figuratively step into the past, via walking through the old memories & location of the children’s center, “Piñata Puppy World”.

Our goal is to explore the mental health struggles and complex emotions tied to nostalgic depression. By expanding on the immersive feeling of liminality and its connection to mental well-being, we strive to create a deeper, more nuanced experience than many common projects in the indie-horror genre have not gone in-depth in. Our game tries to take a deeper approach to evoke the profound feelings of nostalgic depression in ways we haven’t seen explored before.
