About This Game

In this 2D, Top-Down Shooter, you take control of a mercenary named Suqare as he tries to make a name for himself. You will take jobs from different corporations to build rapport with them and make money. Decisions made during missions determine what jobs you have access to, your reward, how each corporation fares compared to the others, and even the over-arching story. Use strategy and skill to outwit, outsmart and outshoot your enemies.

You'll have a plethora of melee weapons, guns, gadgets, and upgrades that you can steal from dead enemies or buy from the shop. Change your play-style from guns-blazing to Hitman-like stealth by the way you choose to spend your hard-earned cash. Most weapons have uses that aren't initially apparent, so try them in many ways! You will be finding useful secrets and new weapons nearly every mission so search the area thoroughly.

If you fail a mission, that's it. You've failed it. Head back to base and regroup. This is one of the core mechanics of Suqare: Hired Gun. Whatever happens happens. You can't endlessly restart a level in order to complete it, and there are no checkpoints either. Read the Briefing thoroughly and make your build accordingly.

At the start of each mission, you'll have the opportunity to spec out your character. Buy upgrades and gadgets, and then choose which weapons fit the need of the mission best. You can sell back anything you purchase in the shop for the same amount you bought it for, so there's no penalty for buying something you don't want to use! And since you'll be earning money for every completed mission, you'll be given access to more things to upgrade your build with constantly.

There will always be multiple options for jobs to take, but keep in mind how you might be working for or against the different corporations. If you anger one, they may stop sending you jobs or potentially work against you. If you build good rapport with a company, you might get better rewards and jobs as a result. Sometimes corporations will have jobs that clash with each other, and you'll have the opportunity to side with either one. If you take a job from a company that you don't want to side with, you can always leave and make sure it never gets done. You'll burn bridges doing this, but you won't  The choice is yours.
