Each kind of mission requires different assets to be installed in your cargo space. Get a vehicle of large enough, divide your cargo capacities accordingly, and make several missions at the same time to maximize your outcome.

You can alternatively buy and sell goods between bases. This, again, strictly depends on your available cargo sapace.
