As a sole developer working on this project in my spare time, I want to ensure the game reaches its full potential while balancing my primary occupation. During this period, I’ll be actively refining gameplay, adding new features, and addressing community feedback to deliver the best possible experience in the final release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of "Just Another Endless Runner" is planned to offer several enhancements and features that build upon the foundation laid during Early Access. Key differences will include:

Expanded Character Customization: Players will have access to a robust customization system, allowing them to personalize their characters with a variety of clothing and style options. A shop will be implemented where players can purchase and unlock new outfits and accessories.

New Game Modes: The full version will introduce additional game modes, providing players with fresh challenges and experiences beyond the standard endless run.

Enhanced Environments: Expect more diverse and visually stunning environments, including new weather effects and obstacles that will add depth to the gameplay.

Refined Gameplay Mechanics: Based on community feedback during Early Access, gameplay mechanics will be fine-tuned for better balance and player experience, ensuring smoother gameplay and greater enjoyment.

Additional Content: The full release will feature new power-ups, challenges, and possibly a story mode to enhance the overall experience and keep players engaged.

Polished Visuals and Audio: The full version will also include improved graphics, animations, and sound design to elevate the overall quality of the game.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of "Just Another Endless Runner" is feature-complete with its core gameplay mechanics fully implemented. Players can experience dynamic, procedurally generated forest environments, offering a fresh experience with each run. Core features such as coin collection, the resume mechanic (which allows players to continue after dying), and character movement/jumping/obstacle avoidance are all polished and functioning as intended.

At this stage, the primary gameplay loop is stable, with all major known bugs resolved. However, the shop integration is not yet functional and will be introduced in a future update. Additionally, weather effects, which were part of the original plan, have been temporarily disabled while optimization improvements are made to ensure higher FPS performance.

We are also working on balancing power-ups and fine-tuning difficulty progression. Future updates will introduce expanded customization options for characters and more visual enhancements. Player feedback during Early Access will be essential in guiding these ongoing improvements.
