What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re using Early Access to gather feedback from players, address issues early, and better understand what players value most about the game. It also allows us to gradually build a community around the project, increase visibility, and invite players to shape the experience alongside us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to stay in Early Access for around a year, but that timeline may shift depending on development progress and community feedback. Our focus is on quality and immersion, so we intend to expand the game gradually and adjust pacing as needed. We’re exploring the idea of adding more content, environmental events, and story elements throughout this period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to expand the experience over time with new content and systems. Some of the ideas we're currently exploring include:
-Additional monster types with distinct behaviors
-Weather-based or time-based events (e.g. “Zombie Horde” scenarios)
-Mechanics where monsters can breach shelters, adding tension and urgency

However, nothing is final — future content will depend on feasibility, testing, and feedback from players during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core gameplay experience: players rest in shelters such as a campervan, forest camp, or underground banker while listening to rain, thunder, and distant walker sounds. NPCs can be interacted with, each having their own personality and routines that respond to time and weather. The current version is stable, immersive, and focused on atmosphere — with ongoing polish and additions based on community input.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As more content is added, the price will gradually increase, and the final version's price will be adjusted accordingly. However, existing players will not be affected and will still receive all updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will interact with the community through the Discord platform, gathering feedback, discussing new features, and sharing development progress. Players' input will directly influence the game's development.”

About This Game

Sheltered from the Storm is a calm, atmospheric experience set in a quiet world touched by danger but defined by stillness.

Players move between various shelters — from a parked campervan, a lonely forest camp, or an abandoned house, to an underground banker bunker where the sound of rain echoes softly. Each location offers a unique mood and ambient soundscape, designed to help players relax, reflect, or simply listen.

In various scenes, you’ll encounter NPCs who belong to this world. Each character has their own daily tasks, unique personality, and background to discover. Through quiet dialogue, you’ll uncover fragments of the story. Their reactions shift depending on the weather, time of day, and ongoing events, bringing subtle life to a fading world.

There are no battles to fight, no objectives to chase — only moments to exist within. You'll sit in the dark as rain taps on rooftops, thunder rumbles in the distance, and faint growls of walkers remind you the world outside is no longer safe. The beauty lies in the quiet, in finding comfort despite the unknown.

Core Features

  • Dynamic Weather System: rain, fog, overcast skies, sandstorms, and more — each affecting the mood and visibility of the world

  • Atmospheric Shelters: a campervan, forest camps, houses, and an underground banker — each with its own distinct soundscape and feel

  • Ambient NPC Interaction: talk to characters with daily routines, changing moods, and story fragments based on weather or time

  • Cinematic Ambience: immersive audio featuring rain, thunder, wind, and distant walkers, layered with subtle ambient music

  • Environmental Storytelling: experience a world through sound, conversation, and setting — no combat or survival meters

  • Minimal Interaction: focus is on immersion, reflection, and the emotional weight of stillness

Sheltered from the Storm is not a survival game. It’s a quiet space to exist — a slow, emotional moment inside a fragile world.
