    Interaction with six NPC factions, including the ability to improve or worsen relationships
  • Options for multiclassing characters
  • An expansive map ripe for exploration
  • An introductory research tree and crafting system
  • Approximately 10 hours of gameplay, but as the game features a sandbox environment, there are additional activities post-missions, including building relationships, trading, etc.

"Shards of the Realm" is a turn-based tactical RPG/Strategy set in a fantasy world. In it, you must not only assemble a group of adventurers but also develop your own fortress, assign workers, research new technologies, and produce the items necessary for victory.

The game features over 50 different researches, more than 200 items, and over 60 skills, party vehicles with different properties.

The game features 3 key concepts: turn-based tactical battles, exploration on a global map in a living world  and fortress/party management.

Tactical Battles

The game offers 4 distinct classes and 8 subclasses, each with unique gameplay. Assemble a balanced team to overcome superior enemies. Utilizing cover, flanking attacks, and smart role distribution within the group are the keys to success. Meanwhile, a destructible environment in battles adds variety to tactical maneuvers.

A flexible character development tree and the option for multiclassing will help you create your unique team.

Tactical battles include a range of mechanics that allow players to gain a tactical advantage over the enemy, such as:

  • Different types of armor based on the direction of the attack

  • Elevations and cover for positioning in battle

  • A waiting mode where characters can attack even out of turn

  • Opportunity attacks based on the characters' line of sight

  • An action points system instead of predefined moves and attacks, offering greater variability in tactical actions.

Global Map

In the global map mode, the player can interact with various factions, improve relationships with them, or, conversely, go to war, which may lead to their total annihilation. While the world evolves independently, only the player's actions will determine its outcome. As factions clash and wars erupt between them, the player must decide whether to pick a side and influence the balance of power, or tread carefully and work hard to maintain a fragile equilibrium. Whether you choose to save everyone or plunge them into the abyss of chaos is up to you. Seek and gather resources, trade, complete faction quests, or loot caravans... Any means are good for victory.

Fortress Management

To achieve victory, you'll need equipment. You can, of course, buy or find it, but the best pieces can only be invented and created. A flexible technology tree and production are available to the player in their fortress. A wide variety of buildings for construction will assist both in resource gathering and in training fighters.
