À propos de ce jeu

Can you effectively control a 8-wheeler with a T-Rex on top? Or a 16-wheeler with a Triceratops? Mind you they don't just stand on the cars, they skate them!

Can you additionally outrace other "Dino Skaters" in the map to become the first who dives into an erupting volcano to win?

Fossil Skater is a simple racing game with a twist: players are dinosaurs who skate with cars under their feet. There are currently two racing tracks:

  • Japan Tournament: with racing track winding through scenic prehistoric forest, and a ramp/pyramid leading to a volcano at the end of the track. Climb the pyramid to reach the mouth of the volcano where the finish line is.

  • USA Tournament: where racing track is massive highways across the desert. If you ever get thrown off the highways and get distracted, you can explore the saguaros and country houses underneath. Stay on the road, however, and drive through an ending section of very steep ramp to also reach the mouth of the volcano to end the game.

Inspired by the fond memories of playing Road Rash, this game allows players to slam into others (fighting is a development stretch goal) during the race. However, the game can feel a bit lacking due to its current single player experience (network multiplayer is also another huge stretch goal), and there is no points or ranking just yet.

The "vehicles" are not easy to drive at all:

  • The bipedal dinosaurs have 4 steering wheels in the total of 8, so they are very sensitive to steering, e.g. T-Rex.

  • On the contrary, the quadrupedal dinosaurs only have 4 steering wheels in the total of 16, so they are significantly more insensitive to steering, e.g. Triceratops.

Try it out and let me know if you like it, and how you want it to be improved.
