Story Overview:

After a devastating military strike leaves England in chaos, Alex, a battle-hardened ex-soldier, finds himself stranded on a remote island off the north east coast of the country.

Determined to reunite with his wife in London, he must travel through a landscape ravaged by destruction and infected by a mysterious virus that has turned people into relentless, flesh-hungry zombies.

As Alex battles both human survivors and the infected, he unravels the truth behind the outbreak—and faces the dark secrets that come with it.

Alex’s cynicism and combat training shape his journey, but the people he meets and the horrors he witnesses along the way test even his hard resolve. Can he make it home, or will the weight of what he discovers change his path forever?
