‘Beggar to Emperor’ is a strategic simulation RPG set in the fictional medieval continent of Legia, where you begin as a penniless beggar and shape your own destiny through countless choices and experiences.
You start at the very bottom of society with nothing, but your future is entirely up to you.
Rise through the social ranks—become a laborer, merchant, thief, vigilante, priest, knight, noble, or even royalty—gathering wealth and influence through your own path.
And ultimately, you may unify the continent and ascend to the throne as Emperor.

Structure of Power and Organizations

Each organization features multiple paths to promotion: earn merit, buy your way up, win honor through formal duels, or seize power by force.
To become the leader of an organization, you may be elected through a vote or claim the position by overthrowing the current head.
However you choose to climb, every action carries its own consequences.

Army Development and Warfare

Recruit and train your own army through a wide range of methods, and develop it in any direction you see fit.
Assemble talented individuals, train them into elite units, and lead them into battle.
Your army's strength will influence not only the outcome of war, but also the balance of political and diplomatic power across the continent.

Gathering, Production, and Economic Activity

Engage in resource collection activities such as logging, fishing, farming, mining, and hunting to gather materials.
These resources can sustain your livelihood or fuel trade and commerce, allowing you to accumulate vast wealth.
Alternatively, you can pursue unorthodox methods such as begging or theft—all paths are valid means of economic activity, and each leads to your own form of growth.

Reflecting the life of a medieval citizen, the game also includes systems like taxes, arrest by vigilantes, imprisonment, and bail.
