Map & Battle
Step into the role of a leader of one of the four great houses, each compete for dominance over a hex-tiled map with the ultimate goal of capturing the throne at its center. Strategically move your army one tile at a time, engaging in thrilling poker battles to conquer land and expand your influence.
In these battles, assemble powerful poker hands to deal damage to enemy forces. You have a limited number of hands to reduce the opposing soldiers to zero and claim victory. Failure results in game over. Triumph grants you control of the land and its valuable gold.


Battle Modifiers
Contested tiles have several conditions that may modify the terms of battle, such as weather or terrain type. Foggy lands obscure some player cards, while lightning storms may randomly destroy cards at the end of each hand. Terrain like forests or mountains introduce a 'terrain hand' that must be beaten to deal damage. The various tile conditions are just one factor that ensures no run is ever the same.


Deck Building
After each victory, use your acquired gold to enhance your deck. Purchase cards that boost your damage potential, offer strategic advantages like extra moves per turn, or improve diplomatic success rates. Cards come in varying rarities, ensuring diverse builds with each playthrough. The type of land you conquer also affects available cards, adding another layer of strategic depth.

Diplomacy
In an empire aflame with war, diplomacy and statecraft can be vital keys to ultimate victory. Extend the olive branch of peace to escape the aggression of opposing Houses, sound the drums of war to escalate tensions, or simply sidestep the brutality of conflict through bribery and deceit.

Diplomatic negotiations offer a window into the relationships of the four great houses and their leaders through hundreds of lines of unique dialogue, as alliances are forged and shattered.

War & Victory
Victory is achieved when you reach the map’s center and capture the castle. Although the castle is only a few tiles away from your starting position, you'll need to build a formidable army by conquering a large portion of the map and clashing with rival houses.
When facing rival armies, the card battles escalate into head-to-head duels. Each side plays a hand, with the superior score reducing the opponent’s soldier count until one side is eliminated. Defeating a rival house destroys their army and transfers their territory to your control.
