About This Game

Welcome to The Six, a magical world where dice define your identity. You’re an adventurer trapped in a timeloop with a chaotic, impish DM. Beneath the surface, a dungeon morphs and shifts every day, hiding secrets and relics that will be the key to your escape.

Beneath The Six is a roguelike experience with an array of daily and discoverable quests to complete, a brutal Arena mode and 4-player co-op. Collect sets of dice and use them to create blends of fighters, mages or rogues to beat the DM’s daily challenges. Earn rewards to unlock more dice sets, build your collection by trading with friends and, one day, perhaps, escape The Six.

Conquer The Daily Dungeons

Dive into fresh challenges every 24 hours! Explore new quests, face unique enemies, and uncover hidden loot. Success depends on your strategy and build—find the perfect combination of dice and skills tailored to the dangers that await today.

Collect Dice

There are over 130 unique dice sets to collect, with each making their own distinct combination of characters. Each set holds its own stats, weapons, and skills: combine them to craft diverse and fearsome adventurers. Show off your builds — and build strategies — with friends, or join together to conquer daily and weekly challenges.

Complete Daily Quests

The Quest Board is the central way to play, giving you agency over your session length and objective.

Variety and Choice: There are various types of daily quests to complete, with random lengths and objectives offering you a multiple ways to play through the dungeon. During these runs you will also discover quest posters as loot, which when succsessfully brought back to the overworld will be added to your questboard, ready to play.

Difficulty Scaling: You can tweak the difficulty of quests for greater or lesser rewards, putting you in control of the risk and reward for every run.

Challenges & Golden Shards

Completing daily and weekly challenges are another way to earn our in-game currency, Golden Shards. Golden Shards can then be spent on unlocking dice sets in the dice shop, giving you access to even more character build options.

Unique Character Creator

Use your dice sets to create unique characters with differing skills, armors, weapons and stats to take on the dungeon. Each dice in a set of 7, provides a specific component to your character so you can mix and match them.

The Accolades System (Meta-Progression)

We have an Accolades system to give meaning to your long-term efforts.

Consistent Rewards: These progressive milestones give you an extra source of Golden Shards, helping players expand their dice collection quicker.

Survive The Daily Arena

Test your build in our brutal arena mode, where each wave gets increasingly difficult, with higher tiered enemies and near-impossible intensity. The arena resets every 24 hours. Compete with your friends for the top spot on the leaderboard!

Party Up And Explore With Friends

Beneath The Six supports 4-player co-op, allowing you to tackle the dangers of the dungeon and arena with backup, and show off your new characters.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Beneath The Six features an AI narrator who serves as a dungeon master to guide you and comment on your experiences in the daily generated content.

We commissioned actor Tom Canton (The Witcher TV series) to record a library of dialogue. This was then used by ElevenLabs to train the AI voice. Both Magicave and ElevenLabs have a commitment to ensuring the rights of voice actors are protected. Magicave has assigned ownership of the AI voice to Tom Canton, licensing it from him for use in the game, while allowing him the freedom to use his AI voice in other media – whether games, voiceovers, animations, audiobooks or movies (https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/beneath-the-six-turn-based-roguelike).

Each day we generate new daily content for the dungeon and arena. As part of this we pass the generation data to an LLM to create dialogue for the AI narrator so they can comment on the content included for that day.

Some of the daily generated content for the arena and dungeon modes use an LLM to create names for two other purposes. One is for creating the name of any Champion enemies which appear in the dungeon. The other is for creating a name for the daily arena run.
