«HyperTyper 2000 is a unique game, and we want to strive to make it enjoyable for anyone, from those just starting their typing journey to roguelike die-hards typing at 130+ WPM. That means experimenting, listening to feedback, taking suggestions, and giving players options to tailor their experiences - and that means we need your help to make this game everything it can be!»

«The full version of the game will have significantly more content and a greater depth of features. We plan to have at least 5 floors in the dungeon, each with a unique boss battle and varied enemies on each floor.

We plan to constantly add new items and upgrades, alongside regularly designing new enemies and challenges.»

Який поточний стан версії для дочасного доступу?

«The Early Access version of the game has three playable procedurally-generated dungeon floors with two unique boss battles and many items to upgrade your run! Buy items from the shop, find them in chests, or win them in challenge rooms.

There is also a fully-featured Endless Mode with waves of enemies, upgrades, and Steam Leaderboards. Plus, a collection of set Challenges with various difficulties to test your skills!

Additionally, the game has several ways to play any of the above, including Single-Key Mode, which changes all typed text to be one letter only instead of full words, for those earlier in their typing journeys. On the other hand, there's also Hell Mode, which creates fully-random gibberish for you to type for an extra challenge! We also support numeric modes, where you can use the numpad to type numbers instead of words.

Assist Mode allows further customization of difficulty, letting players change the game speed or set limits on the length of words they'll be expected to type in-game. »

“The different upgrades are well-balanced, the controls are simple but tricky, ... the soundtrack slaps, and the balance between bullet hell and typing game is absolutely addictive. A regular bullet hell gives me anxiety and I panic and fold, but Hyper Typer 2000 makes me want to come back and get that high score every time. I played the demo far more than I had to to do this review, and it’s just because it’s that fun.”

HyperTyper 2000 is a unique typing/bullet hell roguelike where both halves of the action are nonstop!

Nearly 5,000 words can be typed with the left half of the keyboard - leaving your right hand free to dodge! Test your typing skills with one hand and dodge with the other!

Navigate a randomized dungeon to collect upgrades and fight challenging bosses, or shoot for a high score in Endless by surviving as long as you can!


Featuring pounding electronic music and stylized ASCII-art visuals, HyperTyper 2000 also lets you hone your typing skills with an adjustable Assist Mode to slow down the pace, limit word length, and more! Not enough of a challenge? Do the opposite, and amp up the game speed while making the words even longer!

Type any word to attack an enemy from any distance - hit another enemy while a projectile is close by to parry it and send it flying back to the attacker!

Battle your way through progressively harder challenges, or shoot for a new high score in a classic arcade mode.
