KILLBEAT is a rhythm shooter roguelike focusing on fast, brutal, and skill-based gameplay.

The demo features the first biome, "Fallen Forest," showcasing the core mechanics across three levels with increasing difficulty.
Unlockable Hard Mode with new Elite Enemies.
Enjoy adrenaline-pumping music with higher BPM in the third level of both modes.
Track your global ranking on the in-game leaderboards.

KILLBEAT demo will be updated for the Steam Rhythm Fest with additional items. Furthermore, you will be able to kill to your own beat with the upcoming custom music feature!

The full release will have a total of five biomes, a derelict amusement park HUB for meta-progression, lots and lots of items, and branching storylines to make each run play different.

The beating heart of the planet

A godlike being has awoken. Its existence echoes from the depths of Cadence Drop, a seismic rift in the earth. Dive into the aftermath of this cataclysm: you play as one of the handful of survivors who can hear the call from the planet core… and the only one who dares to heed it.

Offence is your best defense

Descend and fight your way through monsters and bosses, engaging with branching story encounters as you venture deeper, driven by the rhythm towards the source of the beat. The narrative decisions you make have consequences you face in the lower depths.

Explore procedurally generated levels with rhythm-driven, skill-based gameplay. Shoot, dash, reload, and finish off your enemies to the beat. Create varied builds with synergies for each run, and unlock new items and weapons at the hub—a derelict last bastion of humanity hanging by the side of Cadence Drop.

Play to your rhythm

Inspired by EDM and metal, the soundtrack of KILLBEAT adds its unique spin with catchy vocal chop melodies. Dive into the "flow state" and keep your combo going to add additional musical instruments to the tracks, earning gameplay bonuses. There's always the option to kill to your own beat with the custom music feature.
