'We estimante the game will continue to be in Early Access until the very end of 2024 at the least, and the beginning of March 2025 at the latest. These dates, however, are not definitive.

Comet Alpha Rescue is a sci-fi 2.5D real-time action/RPG game made in a retro, cartoon style art with comic book-style storytelling, customisable combat abilities allowing for various play styles, detailed character development and progression and interaction with the environment as you explore.

Story

The story takes place around an alien soldier called Comet, who left his homeworld in search for for a way to save it and crashed on our world along with his team. After being captured and taken to a secret laboratory, he is experimented on in order to study and extract his magical powers to gift them to human soldiers and use them as weapons for humanity.

Take charge of him as he escapes captivity and fights his way though entire armies of humans, human/alien hybrids and their machines in trecherous forests to find and rescue his shipmates and leave Earth!

Story telling takes place mainly through comic-book style cutscenes, with brief game events during story progression.

Combat

Combat is designed to be flexible and accomodating to any play style, as well as highly detailed in the character's progression mechanics.

Players will be able to customise their abilities as they level up, including, for example, attack power, distance and/or ability recharge time.

Threatened by Hozicorp's militia, Comet makes use of his many magical abilities to defend himself.

The Ice Punch, useful in close quarters combat and to remove any obstacles he may find his way.

The devastating Lightning Bolt, to clear your way through enemy mobs.

When surrounded, the powerful Fire Ring will make short work of any enemy who comes close.

When overwhelmed, Comet may make use of his Magic Shield to temporarly resist any attack.

When facing many, or tough opponents, the high speed Dash will allow allow him to move quickly out of danger!

Each defeated enemy will grant Comet experience points with which to level up and improve his magic abilities, making him stronger in battle.

Aside from improving his powers, Comet's aspect will also change as he grows. As the story progresses, he will find new pieces to add to his zutarian combat armor, grating him increased strength and resistance.

Exploration

The game is being developed with exploration and environment interaction in mind, not just combat and storyline. Currently players will be able to interact with and destroy different objects found in the game as they progress.

The game is still in development and only a part of all intended content is currently playable. Please see the Early Access section of the page for a more detailed list of current features.
