About This Game

Lootbound is a roguelike about risk, build crafting, and a party that forms dynamically during the run.

Each run begins alone. You progress through a linear map with branching paths, choosing rooms, risks, and rewards along the way. Companions join you mid-run, gradually forming a party. Every character influences the build just as much as the Hero.

Party & Equipment

Companions follow the same equipment rules as the Hero — an item only works if it’s equipped. Gear choices directly affect party behavior and how the build functions overall.

Item Auras

Items interact with each other. Some create auras that enhance or alter nearby items of specific types. A successful combination can completely change the course of a run. A poor one can break your build entirely.

Skills & Progression

The Hero starts with a basic skill set and unlocks new abilities throughout the run via choices, risks, and rewards. You’re not just getting stronger — you’re shaping a distinct playstyle step by step.

Damage Types

Lootbound features multiple damage types that interact differently with enemy armor and health. This allows you to build around specific mechanics: armor penetration, attrition, armor destruction, or direct damage.

Dice Rooms

Some rooms revolve around dice rolls. You choose both the reward and the difficulty. Higher risk means better loot. Bad luck? You move on — but with consequences.

Lootbound is:

  • Tactical roguelike runs with high replayability

  • A party assembled dynamically during each run

  • Equipment with auras and deep synergies

  • Builds shaped by damage types and item interactions

  • Meaningful risk and reward through dice-based choices

Every run is a new party.
Every build is the result of your decisions.
Every mistake stays with you.
