Miksi Early Access?

Early Access allows me to share Wonderful Handhelds with the community while it's still in development. As a solo developer working in my spare time, the feedback and support from players will be invaluable in refining the game and ensuring it meets the expectations of retro game enthusiasts. This approach also helps to fund the project's completion, bringing the full vision of Wonderful Handhelds to life.

The game is expected to be in Early Access for approximately one year. This timeline allows for the addition of planned features, refinement based on player feedback, and the development of the two additional handheld games.

The full version of Wonderful Handhelds is planned to include additional content, such as two more handheld games with unique gameplay mechanics, boxes, and manuals. These features are currently in development and are intended to expand the overall experience. Additionally, we aim to incorporate community feedback to improve and refine the game throughout the Early Access period. However, the final content and features may evolve as development progresses.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access version of Wonderful Handhelds currently offers a complete experience with the first handheld game, Cursed Castle, including its box and manual. Players can enjoy the full gameplay of this initial game.

We plan to use the Early Access period to continue development and potentially add more content, including two additional handheld games. However, future updates and additions are subject to change based on development progress and community feedback. For more details on the features and content already implemented, please refer to the "About This Game" section.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

The price of Wonderful Handhelds may increase after Early Access to reflect the additional content and improvements made during the development process. Early supporters benefit from a lower price while also contributing to the game's development.

Wonderful Handhelds is a game that allows you to collect and play fictional retro LCD games, inspired by classic devices from the 80s and 90s.

Hi! I'm a dad making games under the name of Dad's Indie Studio. I'm also an avid collector of retro devices, especially Game&Watch and Tiger Electronics, along with other lesser-known brands and models.

This game is a way to share my passion for collecting and playing video games in their simplest and purest form.

In this early access release, you'll explore Cursed Castle, the first of three planned handheld games. This game pays homage to classic dungeon adventures with spooky skeletons, locked doors, and hidden keys.

Try the demo where "your friend" lends you the first handheld game, Cursed Castle.

You can play through the entire game and complete it!

Please note that in the full version, you’ll gain access to additional features such as score saving, the game manual, and the box, along with two more games to explore in the future.

Wonderful Handhelds is a truly indie game I’m developing in my spare time.
