Why Early Access?

“The game is still under active development and may still see some changes as time goes on. Current plans include the addition of multiple new weapons types to add variety to the combat loop, including ram horns, pitchforks, and other farm/fantasy themed weapons. New game systems are also planned, such as a smithy that can be used to upgrade weapons, and a farming system that allows the player to grows consumable crops for unique combat benefits.

All of these features will also need to be balanced, which is where feedback from the community will help. Testing systems, assessing fairness, and gauging interest, our team can better realize the game's vision. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately one to six months, depending on scope of the final version. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of M.A.F. will vary in a few key aspects:

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It's an beta build. Most major systems and back-end has been implemented. The core of the game-play is there, with a little polish needed.

Game-play features two main areas of focus: the farm and the main combat arena. The farms serves as the player-hub where you can purchase a variety of upgrades from each vendor. The combat arena is where combat between the player and enemies.

The farms two vendors for upgrades is the workshop and animal pens. Both offer combat related upgrades exchange for hay, an in-game currency gathered through defeating enemies.

The combat is entered after you select from one of the variety of weapons for your first weapon slot. In the arena, you face waves of enemies that grow in strength as time goes on. Grow your power through buying items in the shop that increase the player's combat prowess for the current round. Gather as much hay through defeating enemies to use back in the farm to purchase more long term upgrades.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Currently, there is no plan to set a price at launch. If plans expand and a high degree of polish is achieved, then we plan on adding a small price. Any price changes will be communicated in advance.”
