Acerca de este juego

A Beaver's Tale is now FREE TO PLAY

Hi everyone! As of February 2025, I have decided to make this game free to play. You can still purchase the game if you'd like to support me as a developer. This was my first solo-developed game and I learned a lot from the experience. It isn't everything I wanted it to be, but a bunch of people have had fun with the game and thought it was really cute. Feel free to play the demo below and leave a review with what you think! I know the main story is short, but even that short story took about 10 months to develop beginning to end. The building mode can be fun and I'd love to see what you've made (post your screenshots to the Community).

A BEAVER's TALE

is a Canadian-made game by a solo developer, offering a short, story-driven experience designed to be completed in about 30 minutes. For those seeking extended play and creativity, it features an optional build mode. It's the perfect choice for players looking for a concise and enjoyable experience!

GET TO THE NEXT ISLAND BY BUILDING DAMS!

In Story Mode, you play as Buckey the Beaver. You can go swimming in the river, munch down some trees, and build dams with logs. Drama strikes when one of your kits gets stuck on a neighboring island, and you need to build your way across.

Your Goose neighbour, Cecilothy, does not like your beaver kits running all over the place. He’s got a mean streak as long as his beak, so you’d be better off staying out of his feathers.

BUILD A HOME FOR YOUR FAMILY AND BECOME A MASTER BEAVER BUILDER ALONG THE WAY!

Despite the bright colors, A Beaver's Tale is a story about loss, grief and parenthood in the wild. Building a home for your young kits is the most important thing now!

After completing the main story, you can access Building Mode. Fully customize the world of Buckey the Beaver; clear a new plot of land, plant new trees, and build anything out of logs!

Building mode only currently works with a mouse and keyboard.
