Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« Offloom is a local AI application, which means performance and compatibility depend heavily on the user’s hardware and operating system. As a solo developer, I do not have access to the full range of machines needed to validate every configuration before launch. Early Access allows Offloom to reach more users sooner while gathering real world feedback, identifying hardware specific issues, and improving stability and usability across as many systems as possible. »

Combien de temps environ ce logiciel sera-t-il en Accès anticipé ?

« I hope to have Offloom out of Early Access in under six months. However, because Offloom is built and maintained by a single developer, this is not a promise. The timeline will ultimately depend on the volume and complexity of issues discovered during Early Access and the time needed to address them properly. »

En quoi la version finale sera-t-elle différente de la version en accès anticipé ?

« The core functionality is already present, but the full version is planned to focus heavily on polish and refinement. This includes improving stability, reducing bugs, expanding customization for how the assistant responds, and delivering a more refined user experience overall. I also plan to improve feedback in the interface so that long running operations provide clearer progress updates and feel more responsive. »

« The Early Access version includes the primary features of Offloom, including local AI chat, Workspaces for organizing conversations, document upload with local Q&A, local image generation, and an optional web search toggle. The application is usable and feature complete enough for real workflows, but it may still contain bugs, edge case issues on certain hardware, and areas where the UI and responsiveness can be improved. »

Le logiciel sera-t-il tarifé différemment pendant et après l'Accès anticipé ?

« Offloom’s base application will be free during Early Access, and the base features described on this page will always remain free.

In the future, I plan to offer optional paid DLC that adds additional functionality, primarily focused on creative and self entertainment features such as generating longer form stories, assisting with book style writing workflows, and expanded media creation tools such as video related workflows. These DLC additions are optional upgrades, and the free base application will remain fully usable on its own. »

Comment comptez-vous impliquer la communauté dans le processus de développement ?

« Community feedback will be a core part of Early Access. I plan to set up a Discord server where users can share bug reports, performance results, and feature requests. I will also use community input to prioritize fixes and improvements, especially around hardware compatibility, stability, and user experience polish. »

What to expect on lower end hardware

• Systems with less than 12GB VRAM may run significantly slower
• Some workloads may fall back to CPU which can be frustrating for real time use

Accuracy and responsible use

Offloom uses local AI models, which may be smaller and less accurate than some paid online services. AI can make mistakes. Use responsibly, especially for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

When sources are provided, review them if accuracy matters.

Privacy notes

• Workspaces and uploaded documents are stored locally on your device
• Web search is optional and can be turned off at any time
• When web search is enabled, Offloom connects to the internet to retrieve results like normal browsing
• Network activity may be visible to third parties such as your ISP, network administrator, or the services you access
