Assara is an ancient city built on the border between the human world and the world of genies. Once a year, the blooming gardens and golden spires bursting into the serene sky are plunged into darkness. This is the time of the Eclipse – the hour when the gates between the worlds open and humans and genies mix with each other on the colorful city streets. This is the time of the Festival of Masks, which symbolizes the eternal union between the children of Sol.

But under the cover of the holiday, there are dark secrets that threaten the well-being of the city. Mavi, a young nun, arrives in Assara to investigate the disappearance of the famous inventor and finds herself involved in a confrontation between the Church and apostates plotting to change the centuries-old way of life.
