Early access warning


Please note: We are making this game available early in a raw work in progress state. If you are not interested in testing an extremely unfinished game you should wait until the full release.

During Early Access you should expect to see the following:

  • Placeholder UI elements that reserve space for planned features but do not work yet. These are part of the game development process and will be made functional over time.

  • Some features may be in a broken or unfinished state or temporarily disabled while the underlying features are being worked on.

  • Placeholder models, textures and low quality graphics. These are part of the game development process and we plan to create higher quality assets over time.

  • Placeholder maps. None of the songs in game include the full intended range of beatmaps and difficulties, and some songs may only have one difficulty available that might be too difficult to most players. A lot of maps are temporary and we plan to make higher quality maps over time.

  • Random game server outages

  • General bugs

  • A lot of planned features are not implemented yet. You can scroll down to the Early Access Roadmap section to get a rough idea of what's planned.

swingmania is a note slicing VR rhythm game focused at competitive ranked play, customizability, ultra high performance and cats!


Earn Delicious PP and climb the ranks

The game includes a built in ranked system that lets you see where you stand in the world. Compete to become the #1 swingmania player, or see how far you can make it on the ranked ladder.

Playing ranked maps, such as the built in maps, will award you Performance Points (PP) based on the maps difficulty and your score. The bigger your total PP is, the higher your global rank will be!

Multiple note types

The game features multiple types of notes, including

  • Colored notes which have to be hit using a specific hand

  • Rainbow notes that can be hit with either hand

  • Any direction notes that can be hit in any direction

  • Directional notes that have to be hit in a specific direction

  • Mines that must be avoided

  • Walls that you must avoid with your head

Wide range of built in maps

The base game includes a bunch of songs with maps ranging from very easy accuracy maps all the way to random angle challenge, squat challenge and 688 bpm vibro. Please keep in mind that during Early Access the selection of songs and maps is limited, and we plan to add more songs and maps for every type of player over time.

Custom songs support

Map your own song collection with full freedom in note placement using swingmapper, our advanced map editor which is included with the game.

Designed for Pros

Packed with features catering to high skill play

  • Advanced HUD showing detailed score composition and statistics

  • Replay system allows you to analyze every swing in extreme frame-by-frame detail

  • Minimal distractions. You can disable the environment and any effects that could distract you and hinder gaming performance

  • Fine tune controller offsets for individual hands

  • Fine tune map parameters such as reaction time, judgement line distance

Please note: the game is in Early Access and a bunch of these features are still work in progress.

The game supports loading custom models for environments, notes, Cat Sticks(tm), etc for unlimited personalization.

Designed for streaming

The desktop view is optimized to be perfect for streaming or recording plays out of the box.

You get a smooth wide-FOV view so that noone has to deal with jank looking gameplay.

Twitch Integration is built in. You can read chat directly in-game.

Optimization at the Core

We are building this game on a brand new game engine with one goal:

To be the most optimized VR game ever made. We are going to extreme lengths no-one else has to ensure the game never drops a single frame during hours of gameplay. The code path for every single frame and situation has been meticulously designed to avoid frame time spikes, and multiple CPU cores are utilized in a smart way. Please note that the game is in Early Access and not fully optimized yet.


Did we mention the game has a cat in it?

Honestly this is the real main selling point. Please note though that the game is in Early Access and the cat is work in progress.
