As a Windows-based Salt Player, the project faced numerous challenges during its initial stages, but most of them have now been resolved. Early research revealed many compatibility issues, yet a large number of users still contributed diverse ideas. We hope to continue engaging with users to gather fresh inspiration and further refine Salt Player for Windows! Early access is the best way to help achieve this goal.”

“The early access phase is expected to last approximately 1 year, though this timeline may be adjusted based on user feedback and development progress.”

1. Workshop Support: Allow users to create mods to enhance the software experience.
2. Smart Genre Classification: Improve music categorization with better algorithms for a more intelligent experience.
3. Playlist Overhaul: The playlist feature in the Android version of Salt Player isn’t user-friendly, so we plan to redesign it for PC.
4. Enhanced Customization: Enable deeper control over songs, albums, artists, and more for greater personalization.”

“The current Early Access version already includes core features such as:

1. Basic functionality for songs, genres, albums, and artists
2. Scrolling synced lyrics and floating desktop lyrics
3. Dynamic animations in the player interface
4. Custom artist profiles
5. Gapless playback, WASAPI exclusive mode, and SRC adjustment
6. And more”
