You are Burst Croaker Stevens Jr., a disgraced frog detective who makes his living solving barbaric, dramatic, satirical, funny or tragic cases. The stranger the case, the bigger the reward.

Sorrentine's past is darkly hilarious, or perhaps hilariously dark, but as a good frog detective, you'll take your haunches where no other police legend has gone to solve mysteries from the past that will feel oddly familiar.

Interrogate suspects, make daring calls, search for clues at crime scenes, introspect your mind, have a drink or chase someone on a bike. Sorrentine is a circus where animals play with dynamite in birthday cakes. Your role as a frog is simple: watch, listen and stay away from the cakes, even if they become your greatest desire.



The Good
Resolve conflicts and cases in Sorrentine by persuading and convincing the characters around you. Open your heart to the right people and hear the deepest and most shameful truths. Some of it all has to help.

The Bad
Blow the bomb! Sorrentine is your headquarters. Solve your cases by force and remember: the world belongs to the dominant species, and no one expects a frog to make it to the finals. The key is the element of surprise.

The Corrupt
In Sorrentine, God is money and religion is business. Persuading someone is sometimes a matter of, you know, "business." Everyone in Sorrentine has a price; you just need the right scale. Have you calculated your worth yet?



Do as I say, not as I do
For most of your adventure you will be accompanied by Kent, your assistant officer, who can help you or challenge you. Be careful what words you use or what drinks you reach for. He's a great support in solving your cases, but they're not friends, at least not yet.

Between Magnifying Glasses and Spectacles
Burst can find clues in the scenery if he's perceptive enough. But sometimes, what you find is trash, or maybe treasure, depending on the size of the coal.

Music that comforts… or exhorts.
Let the music be your guide. Collect jazz records throughout Sorrentine and listen to them on jukeboxes to commit new places you discover to memory. But remember not to waste time. Because it will surely happen to you.



Interrogation in NOIR
Challenge your nerves with polygraph tests. Ask the right questions before your suspects get restless and leave. At the end of the day, you're just a private detective.

On the haunches and rotary phones
Throughout Sorrentine, Burst will find various phone numbers that will connect him to various colorful and obscure characters in the city. It is your duty and a wise decision to know when to call them, or you can do it whenever you have a coin. As you prefer.



A drink for variety, and a cigarette to meditate.
In certain places, Burst can acquire beer or a good wine to enjoy a pleasant conversation or reflect on the mystery of the universe. In others, he can smoke a cigarette to connect with his mind, which jumps so much when he works during the day.
