Neo Light is a brutal 2D precision platformer about speed, timing, and controlled chaos. Swap between 9 short-burst powers, survive rooms built to kill you, and chase cleaner runs while Glitch, your sarcastic AI assistant, reacts to your failures.

Run, jump, slide, crouch, and swap between 9 different “lights” that each has it's own special power that change how you traverse through each level. Every stage is built around quick reactions, clean movement, and finding faster routes.

It's a platformer made for players who enjoy dying, learning, improving, and eventually making a difficult section look effortless.

A note from the developer:

Neo Light is being developed by a solo developer,

It is my first video game project and I have been working on for a long time and still improving it so feedback is extremely valuable,

Due to lack of resources and being my first project, this game does use generative AI for some assets like background art and music, as they are the cheaper low quality option on a bigger scale, else the hiring artists and music designers would be the obvious choice. Hope you can understand, if not that is also ok.

If you give the demo a chance, all honest feedback helps a lot.

Neo Light uses some AI-assisted content in its development and presentation, including selected music, background art, animation assistance, code assistance, and marketing/store artwork. All AI-assisted material was reviewed, edited, modified, curated, and integrated manually to match the game’s final style and design.

Neo Light also includes an optional online AI-powered assistant feature called Glitch. If the player enables this feature, by pressing the record microphone button, the player’s voice input is transcribed locally on the player’s device to an external AI service, which generates a short in-game text response from Glitch. This feature is optional and is limited by safeguards such as usage limits, backend control, and restrictions intended to keep responses within the game’s sarcastic assistant/persona context.

Most Glitch dialogue, death insults, hints, and command responses are pre-written and do not use generative AI. The AI feature is optional and is not required to play the game. Players can decline the privacy notice and play without AI-generated responses.
