HARD VOID is a Retro-style Lovecraft-inspired 4X space turn-based strategy game.

While recovering from past near-apocalyptic events, your civilization has developed faster-than-light travel methods under mysterious circumstances. Will this discovery lead to an age of space prosperity, or should some things better remain undiscovered?

Design your ships

HARD VOID allows the design of your own spaceships with the selection of multiple ship systems: Weapons, Defense modules, Power sources, Sensors and more. Each ship system can be further customized with several parameters.

Additionally, the spaceship hulls are unique and generated procedurally.

Conquer the galaxy

In HARD VOID combat is turn-based, ships are grouped into fleets and commanded as a whole in large space battles. 

The combat system allows simultaneous participation of both space and ground forces: Fleets, orbital structures, planetary surface structure, land, air and sea units.

Colonize the galaxy and multiple dimensions

Use multiple FTL travel methods to explore and expand : WARP drives, Subspatial engines, Wormhole generators and more. Colonize planets, asteroids and multiple dimensions, but beware, you aren't only dealing with just other species, space travel unlocks horrors beyond comprehension that are waiting in the vast dark void and will trial your empire.

A complex economic system

Manage efficiently your empire colony's industrial output in a complex multiple resource economy: Iron, Copper, Hydrocarbon, energy, and many more. Establish new colonies, form trade routes and feed your extensive war machine to continue expansion and extermination.

Research scientific and not-so scientific theories

Research multiple technologies in one of the four scientific and technological disciplines: Physics, Engineering, Biology, and Sociology. There is the forbidden knowledge research, obtained by non-conventional methods, and it may irreversibly bring your civilization closer to the abyss.

Procedural storyteller system

HARD VOID features multiple and interconnected procedural narrative events that will also shape each playthrough. Make decisions that affect the game universe in meaningful ways. Discover ancient artifacts, witness reality anomalies, including cosmic horror events. Will your forces succumb to madness?
