Venusville is a city builder game where you guide a group of space settlers trying to establish a city among the clouds of Venus.

In the game you play the role of the base architect and manager, telling your colonists which way to extend the floating city and build the structures they will need to survive. You will have to ensure that they have a constant supply of oxygen, food and water while managing temperatures and pressure to stay alive.

You will get them to collect energy, extract water, mine clouds, grow food, manufacture bots, and build a fully self-sufficient base in a harsh environment, where you are always one step away from total failure.

Buoyancy and Balance

You are tasked with the crucial role of managing the city’s stability in the Venusian skies.

Different structures in your city possess distinct weights and buoyancy levels, requiring meticulous oversight to prevent imbalances that could lead to catastrophic flips or structural failures. Heavier elements like batteries and engines must be strategically positioned to maintain equilibrium.

Maintaining buoyancy is not only a matter of balance but also a survival tactic, as it keeps your city above the perilous temperatures and pressures found in the deeper Venusian atmosphere. This delicate balancing act is central to expanding your city and ensuring the safety of your colonists.

Navigating the Clouds

Adding engines to your city is a game-changer, allowing for mobility beyond mere buoyancy. This mobility lets you strategically navigate the volatile skies of Venus.

You can position your city to continuously harvest solar energy by staying on the sunlit side of the planet, evade dangerous storms, and avoid areas with high concentrations of sulfuric acid.

Mobility also opens up opportunities to explore resource-rich areas, mine atomic oxygen, and discover metals hidden within the clouds. Additionally, adjusting buoyancy can grant access to higher altitudes, potentially unveiling the planet’s secrets and expanding your city's horizons.
