Choose Cthulhu Files is a visual novel / adventure videogame adaption of the internationally acclaimed gamebook series Choose Cthulhu, based on the original works from H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos, where you experience the story as the protagonist deciding how the story ends depending on your choices during the adventure.

Choose Cthulhu Files: The Call of Cthulhu is the first game in the series. You will visit and investigate the different locations depicted in The Call of Cthulhu while looking for clues and talk with different characters that will help you unravel the mysteries behind the death of your great uncle George Gammell Angell.

The game will cover the different plots in the original gamebook plus extra branches and brand new content exclusive for this game adaption.

While resting at home in Boston during the Christmas vacations, you receive an unexpected letter: Your great-uncle George Gamell Angell has died under strange circumstances, and you are his only heir.

You are about to begin a terrifying journey, in which each mystery you unravel will bring you closer and closer to death or madness.

Will you be able to overcome the innumerable dangers that lie in wait along the way and discover the truth about your uncle's death?

• Choices matter: The decisions you make will shape your future in ways you can't imagine. Every choice counts and will affect the story as you progress through the various plots.

• Exploration Mode: You will be able to inspect the scenarios and take a closer look at elements that will reveal clues that can unlock new options during the story.

• Madness: The perception of the environment changes when the player starts to lose sanity. Maybe what you see is not what is really there!

• Replayability: There are multiple branches of the story you can play and multiple endings.

• Cthulhu Mythos references: You will find multiple references to the Cthulhu mythos hidden in the scenes of the game that you can discover and complete collections that will unlock more content.

In the game, the player can die or get insane due to the horrors discovered during the game. Monsters that can hurt and kill the player, accidental death due to traps, get insane and end in an asylum, are some of the adult contents the player can experiment.
