Beyond the Chiron Gate is a text-based space exploration roguelike. Explore an endless universe filled with exotic planets, strange life forms, and ancient civilisations. Manage a crew of space explorers and upgrade their ship with new technology. Brave dangerous worlds to gather the data you need to reach the home system of the mysterious Gatebuilders.

  • Randomly-generated universe where no two games are the same.
  • Over a hundred random events including perils on strange worlds, encounters with life and civilisations, and your explorers' emotional journeys.
  • Multi-layered exploration where discoveries reveal more things to explore.
  • Dozens of ship upgrades including scanners, defences, crew capacity increases, and new abilities.
  • Six explorer classes that unlock new options in events. Explorers level up, can be injured or die, and can become inspired or depressed.
  • Death is permanent. Take too many risks and the mission is over - start again in a new universe.
  • Post-victory endless mode.
  • Over an hour of atmospheric space music.
