Why Early Access?

“By placing Clockwork Dawn in Early Access, players will be able to give feedback on improvements and new features. Grand strategy games are complex and Clockwork Dawn is the first title published by our studio, so including the community in the development process is essential to create an experience that players will enjoy.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Clockwork Dawn will be in Early Access for at least several months, and possibly longer depending on when we feel the game is in a good, stable state with well developed gameplay.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Before leaving Early Access, there are a number of additional features we would like to add along with expanded world-building. Hundreds of more events and technologies are planned along with additional ways to explore the world of Clockwork Dawn through exploration and country-specific missions. Additionally balancing of gameplay mechanics, improvements to the AI, and UI improvements are also planned.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay is currently in place with the final map and the countries that populate it implemented. The AI is reasonably intelligent, but will need some improvements to give more of a challenge and have varied personalities for each country. The tech tree is 2/3 of the way complete and the colonialism mechanics are also complete. War can be waged for territory and a basic economy exists from the output of provinces, their improvements, and a countries' overseas imperial possessions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Currently there are no plans to change pricing.”
