Underneath: Dwarven Artifacts is a solo-developed 3D real-time first-person single-player dungeon crawler. Immerse yourself in dark, underground caves, dwarven ruins, and tunnels filled with monsters and long-forgotten loot. Search for lost artifacts and make decisions that will determine the fate of dwarven civilization. Become a fierce warrior, a stealthy marksdwarf, or a master of lost dwarven rune magic.

Lore

Only 20 years have passed since the Tremor. The mighty dwarven kingdom still recovering, its underground tunnels still collapsed. You are a dwarf born in Ahrnsbrak Fortress, an outpost on the outskirts, now governed by a guild called the Order. This guild is dedicated to searching for ancient dwarven artifacts, technology lost millennia ago.

Rebuild the might of the dwarven kingdom, join forces with The Order as they vie for power, or choose to remain independent and harness the power of the artifacts you discover to become the most powerful dwarf in the realm.

World and Location Generation

Most locations are procedurally generated, with multi-level caves connecting through tunnels in surprising ways, secret passages, and pseudo-randomly generated equipment to find – all of this ensures that no two games are the same. At the same time, you can encounter many locations that are hand-crafted, while the main storyline remains unchanged, but with multiple paths to follow.

Cooking and Increasing Character Stats

There are no classic experience points in Underneath. The only way to increase character stats is by eating various food.
A refined cooking system - both roasting individual ingredients by the fire and cooking meals with several ingredients, the chance to discover recipes (which can also be found or purchased) - thanks to which we will be able to develop character statistics in the direction we want.
