Veloria's Candleflower is a groundbreaking horror puzzle game that blends evolving puzzle and level design with visual aesthetics and music to create a fresh experience.

It confronts the harsh realities of mental illness, interweaving psychological depth with the horror genre. It explores survival struggles within darkness and despair, unveiling the true nature of appearance versus inner self.

Story Overview

Players take on the role of Veloria, a young girl suffering from severe mental illness, journeying through nightmarish childhood memories to uncover the truth and seek redemption. The story is divided into six chapters, each relaying the experiences of six "people," piecing together a dark and tragic narrative. As the suspense builds, you will be the one to reveal the shocking truth.

A girl awakens in front of an eerie orphanage.

Ashes float through the air, uncovering long-buried secrets—the real orphanage was consumed by fire in an accident many years ago.

What lingers here is a strange world patched together from fragments of memory.

To find the truth, she opens the doors to this eerie world.

Everything in this building is shrouded in a bizarre darkness; only the faint glow of candles can illuminate her path...

Character Descriptions

Veloria
Shy and introverted, Veloria avoids social interactions but has a kind heart. She is determined in tasks she deems necessary, often expressionless due to difficulty in expressing herself.

Ethan
Optimistic and lively, Ethan may look as calm as a girl, but he is warm and vibrant, always able to bring comfort to others. He had a relatively happy time when he first arrived at Grace’s Home and became Veloria's close friend due to his maturity beyond his years.

Ella
Born with severe brittle bone disease, known as "porcelain doll syndrome," Ella is paralyzed and confined to her bed. She always wears a gentle smile, rarely displaying any strong emotions, and has a maturity unusual for her age. She treats Veloria with great kindness.

Gereon
The only teacher at Grace’s Home, Gereon is responsible for a variety of classes and is beloved by the children. Although he appears like an adult, he has a childlike spirit, often seeming a bit goofy. He owns a book called Wenger’s Tales of Fun, filled with jokes that he occasionally shares with the children—though few listen, apart from Veloria.
