Varför Early Access?

“Having the game in Early access, would allow players to help me define the direction of Dead Beyond from the very beginning with feedback and suggestions. This will be a crucial part to help me make the best survival FPS out there.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“I don't have a clear idea of how long it will take me to finish the game. Dead Beyond is a long term project and I am building it solo, which makes even more difficult to give estimates. Before releasing the Early Access version of the game I plan on publishing multiple public demos, which will be released for free to gather feedback, suggestions and bug hunting.

Being a solo project, the rough estimate for how long the game will be in Early Access would be somewhere around 2-4 years, but this is subject to change based on how the game evolves and how many people might work on it in the future.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“I plan on adding more weapons, more POI (points of interest) in the world and more customizations which can be applied to the player. I also plan on adding modding into the game once it is out of Early Access.”

“The aim of the early access is to provide the basic vibes and core mechanics to the game. This involves:

- Core FPS mechanics
- Full weather cycle
- 10 fully animated weapons
- Inventory and looting system
- Enemy AI system
- Shelter system”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“The price will increase once the game goes out of early access, but I don't have a clear idea of how much is it going to be at this stage.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“The community feedback and suggestion is going to be a crucial factor in the development of Dead Beyond. I am using multiple social media channels but I will focus on Discord, I am also really active on Youtube and Twitter to post updates and news, so make sure to follow the game to be always on top of the latest news.

There will be at least two Public Demos before the Early access release. I don't have dates yet, but this is my rough roadmap. I will use the two demos to gather feedback ask for suggestions and bug hunting.”

FERAN is a single-player extraction FPS focused on survival and player choice.

Set after a devastating and unexplained global event, the world of FERAN is broken, abandoned, and dangerous. You are sent into high-risk zones where every decision matters. There are no safe missions, no guaranteed rewards, and no second chances.

Each run challenges you to explore ruined locations, search for valuable gear, and survive lethal encounters. Combat is grounded and unforgiving. Ammunition is limited, enemies are dangerous, and poor decisions are punished quickly. Dying means losing everything you carried in.

Survival in FERAN goes beyond combat. You must manage your equipment, supplies, and inventory carefully while deciding how long to stay in the zone. Push too far and risk losing it all, or extract early and return with what you survived with.

The game’s world is atmospheric and oppressive, telling its story through environment and discovery rather than exposition. Abandoned structures, unexplained phenomena, and the remnants of society hint at the event that destroyed the world, rewarding players who explore and pay attention.

FERAN is designed for players who enjoy slow, methodical gameplay where pressure builds naturally and success comes from preparation and awareness rather than speed alone.
