Arising from their Foundress, Manta are insectoids that grow everything they need to expand their domain. The very exoskeletons in which they reside are living entities.


Embryophytics that rose to sentience on a lush world, but were forced to set off into the cosmos when their planet’s atmosphere was eviscerated by relentless solar flares. Biological adaptation to the harshest environments has allowed them to travel far and wide in search of a new home.





At the end of every round, all celestial bodies orbit around the sun, moving at different speeds and shuffling the positions of ships, structures, and resources. Ships can enter or leave orbit, giving them tactical advantage in positioning for future combat.


Discover who is out there, and if someone else has already set up operations where you planned to. Visibility is gained and lost as ships maneuver and structures orbit, meaning the tactical landscape can change when you’re not looking.


Compete with opposing factions to gather resources, while managing the upkeep of your force to maintain combat prowess.


Capture structures of different species and, in some cases, use their own technology against them.


Use the actions of ships and structures to advance up your species’ unique technology tree, unlocking more powerful means to conqueror your foes.
