Byte Sized Creations is a small, part-time team that came together with one goal in mind: to create experiences that are not just fun, but truly engaging and replayable. We’ve drawn inspiration from a mix of genres—bullet hell, roguelite, action, and deck builders—to craft something exciting that blends fast-paced action with strategic depth.

Since April 2024, we’ve poured our hearts (and countless hours) into developing Starborn Survivor, all while self-funding the entire journey. From refining mechanics to creating a fun experience, we’ve reached a point where the game has a fully playable singleplayer arcade mode and offers an exciting foundation. However, we know that the best games are shaped by the players who experience them.

Early Access gives us the opportunity to work directly with the community, refining the game based on real player feedback. Your insights will help us balance mechanics, introduce new content, and evolve Starborn Survivor into the best version of itself. We want this game to be something that players keep coming back to—not just for the challenge, but for the joy of discovery and mastery.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Starborn Survivor will be in development for at least one full year during Early Access as we work to complete our initial planned features and content. Our goal is to ensure that every aspect of the game—from core mechanics to multiplayer, progression systems, and customization—reaches the level of quality and depth that we envision.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Starborn Survivor will expand on everything that makes the game exciting, introducing deeper systems, new challenges, and multiplayer features that elevate the experience. While the Early Access version already provides a solid foundation, we have ambitious plans to take it even further.

Here’s what we’re working toward for the full release:

*Co-op Multiplayer – Team up with friends and battle through the chaos together.
*Leaderboards & Competitive Modes – Climb the ranks, prove your skills, and compete in special challenge-based modes.
*New Levels & Worlds – Explore diverse environments, each introducing unique hazards, enemies, and gameplay twists.
*Expanded Character Cores & Customization – More ways to build your playstyle with additional character cores and ability synergies.
*New Weapons & Abilities – Wield powerful new weapons and discover even crazier ability combinations.
*Custom Deck-Building Experience – A fully-fledged deck-building system where you can craft your ideal loadout.
*Storefront for Cards/Decks/Packs – Unlock and purchase new cards, decks, and packs to fine-tune your strategy.
*More Enemy Types & Bosses – Face off against new enemy factions and challenging boss encounters.
*Quality of Life Improvements – Continuous balance tuning, UI/UX refinements, and performance optimizations.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Starborn Survivor delivers a fully playable and engaging experience, offering both a Normal Singleplayer Arcade Mode and an Ascension Singleplayer Arcade Mode for players to test their skills.

Currently, players can:

*Choose from three unique character cores, each with its own distinct abilities and playstyle.
*Wield four different weapons, each designed to complement different strategies.
*Experience the thrill of building and evolving their character throughout a run, utilizing a selection of cards from the first set of default card packs.
*Progress through a fast-paced arcade experience, blending roguelite progression with bullet-hell action.

While this version is feature-rich and fun to play, it’s just the beginning. We’re using Early Access to fine-tune mechanics, balance content, and expand the game with new features, worlds, and customization options based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“For most of Starborn Survivor’s development in Early Access, we plan to maintain the current price point while we continue expanding and refining the game. Our focus is on delivering a great experience first and foremost, and we want to ensure Early Access players feel they are getting excellent value throughout the game's growth.

As we approach full release, we may evaluate a price adjustment to reflect the expanded content, new features, and overall improvements. However, any potential pricing changes would only happen at full release—not during Early Access.

By joining Early Access now, players will have access to all updates and new content at the original price, making it a great time to dive in and help shape the game’s future!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is absolutely crucial to us. Starborn Survivor is a game built for players who love fast-paced, strategic action, and we want to ensure it evolves in a way that reflects what our players enjoy the most.

To keep an open dialogue, we will be actively engaging with the community through:

*Steam Discussions – A dedicated space where players can share feedback, report bugs, and suggest new ideas. We’ll be monitoring discussions regularly and responding to ensure your voice is heard.
