About This Game

Unyverse is a sci-fi, action role-playing game (ARPG) created by Afrime Studios. Unyverse will deliver an immersive, story-driven gameplay experience enriched by a deep Afro-Futuristic aesthetic. In Unyverse, the rate at which a person’s soul synchronizes with their physical form is quantifiable. Those with high rates of synchronization, or Synchs, manifest amazing abilities—abilities that set them apart from the rest of humankind. As society has ventured beyond known space, political factions threaten to further divide the people.

As players are plunged headfirst into Unyverse, their every choice will decide the future of the frontier planet of La’Tariya.

Riveting sci-fi RPG with a rich, engaging storyline.

A former peace soldier for the galactic government, the player chooses to settle on a planet on the galactic frontier. With little to their name, and only the skills they acquired in the service, they set out as a contractor serving the people of the remote planet they’ve claimed as their home.

Unyverse expands on the action-RPG genre, leveraging innovative gameplay and an impactful use of agency to deliver a gripping experience unlike any RPG before it. Players will be faced with morally complex decisions that the story in ways that will surprise even the most adept RPG player. Explore an Afrofuturistic world filled with creatures and vast landscapes to discover. In addition to the main story arc of the game, players will be able to uncover unexplored parts of the planet as side quests. At any time during the campaign, a player has the freedom to freely roam a large playable area to uncover resources, trade, hunt, and expand their reputation and influence.

Cover melee, Cover shooter combat.

Unyverse features a cover system used for both melee and ranged combat. Players will enjoy intense, challenging third-person/First person (ranged) action. Players will be able to engage the enemy with ranged weapons and covering fire, SYNCH Abilities and Technologically enhanced Abilities - all of which will be accompanied by amazing visual and physics effects that will add tremendous excitement and drama to the fast paced action. Whether they use powerful Synch Abilities, the latest technological enhancements or the most up to date military hardware, players will be well-equipped to take on any job/foe. Players will also be able to create their own combos for melee combat. As a player’s proficiency increases with a particular weapon additional combo slots/skills will be available to add a level of freshness and uniqueness to gameplay as they progress through the game.

Credible digital actors.

Unyverse will feature a huge cast of incredibly realistic nonplayer characters and enemies. Each of the characters encountered will have realistic facial and body movements. Leaning heavily into the Afro-Futuristic aesthetic brings a unique narrative, audio, and visual quality to Unyverse. Unyverse draws from the rich tapestry of Afrocentric culture, including history, folklore, music, fashion and more. Players will encounter characters with accents from Afro-descendant communities from around the world, many of which have never been used in this genre.

Character customization and deep role-playing systems.

Players will be able to choose from and customize a variety of stunning, photo-realistic character appearances at the start of the game, and can increase various statistics that will affect their performance during gameplay. New equipment, weapons and armor that are acquired during the course of the story will change the appearance of the characters. Unyverse will have an unprecedented amount of customization for characters, weapons, and vehicles. Abilities and skills will be unlocked as the player progresses through the game. Abilities can be combined to create unique specialty abilities creating an almost endless amount of customization. Weapons and vehicles will be customizable to include various effects, skins, and upgrades allowing each player's unique style to be on display. Each character class has its own play style that will allow another layer of customization not seen in most RPG’s.
