Why Early Access?

“We want to take this opportunity to grow a community of players while developing the game in a sustainable manner. Critique,criticism and community are vital to our development process and improving your play experience. Early Access allows us this opportunity.

Atajrubah is still in development and as such there are missing features, content and plenty of bugs. These issues will be addressed with subsequent,frequent updates and guidance from player feedback. We want to hear from you !”

“We are planning to exit early access after a 12 - 18 month period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Atajrubah is planned to be a cross-platform multiplayer survival and exploration experience featuring :

- Balanced Melee and Projectile Combat mechanics.

- Player Mounts

- A fully fleshed out Story with Quests and Missions for players to embark on alone or with friends.

- NPC characters that inhabit the world of Atajrubah.

- Server Persistent Player-built structures.

- Player Customization.

- Player-Player , Player-NPC Trading.

-Resource collection through:
  • Farming.
  • Hunting.
  • Skinning.
  • Fishing

Cross Platform availability for:
  • Windows.
  • Mac.
  • Linux.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At present Atajrubah is still very rough, we have a core framework of mechanics in place. As such the game is in Alpha, it is functional but not feature complete.

- Survival Mechanics
Manage your Hunger,Thirst and Health by collecting Dates and Water to survive.

- Base Ghul AI Implementation.
Ghuls roam the world of Atajrubah, you may choose to engage them in combat or steer clear.

- Drag-Drop Inventory Management system with Equipable clothing and Armour.

- Base Melee Combat Mechanics.

- Base Crafting System. The list of recipes is limited at present but will grow.

- Base Day/Night Implementation.

- Base Player Persistence Implementation. Your location,stats and inventory are saved periodically and populated upon reload. In case of death the player's inventory is populated with a default load-out.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will differ but will remain within reason.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on engaging with the community through the Steam Forums and our own. Providing updated builds every 2-4 weeks depending on progress. Players will be able to report bugs, vote on feature prioritization and make feature proposals that may ultimately end up in the game. We also plan on providing experimental builds of the game with untested features.”

Atajrubah is an Arabian inspired Survival game.The title is an Arabic word that means (an) 'Experience'. The game is set in a 1930's to 1940's - esque era and is strongly influenced by Arabian Folklore and Architecture. The world is open for the player to explore either on their own or with their friends. The game focuses on exploration, player-world and player-player interactions.
