About This Game

Welcome to Kingsport! Home to the best views, friendliest of neighbors, and base to one of the biggest bootlegging operations on the Atlantic Ocean. Join us as Bruce McKenzie, professional Button Man to the local Kingpin, in his quest to find the killer of his boss and beloved socialite. With his friends and associates that you'll pick along the way discover the truth and seal the fate of the city.

The game combines point & click and beat 'em up to create a blend of narrative driven dialogues and puzzle and a robust combat system. It has the best of both worlds as it is up to you if to choose to fight or find a clever way to resolve the conflict before it explodes!

EXPLORATION

A full city to explore and many character to meet. Enjoy the tourist boardwalk, dine at the main streets, find yourself a home in the residential areas, and maybe some secrets in-between. Beware, there are some streets that will not look kindly on you coming for a visit, especially since Bruce has made their lives difficult in the past. Explore to your hearts content and look out for the many hidden objects that litter the city.

INVESTIGATE

Your boss and father-figure has been murdered, now it's up to you and your sidekick, Jaime Donovan, to figure out what happened. Talk to known associates, look into new players in town, keep an eye out for the Valenti Crime Family who is muscling into town, and be careful of the unknown. As Bruce tries to find out the truth the city is descending into chaos due to the big power vacuum left by Mr. Fisher.

FIGHT

Sometimes words are not enough, sometimes you forgot a specific item or made the wrong choice, if so Bruce will need to use his fists to solve the problem. With many enemy types and bosses to fight, Bruce has his hands full to protect the city. Bruce will have help from capable friends, but in the end its up to him to keep the peace and make sure the people he loves don't get hurt.

CHOICE AND CONSEQUENCE

Choices are fundamental in Button Man. Many of Bruce's decisions will impact individual characters, areas of the town, the factions fighting for control, and the ending of the story. Choosing to help one side will disenfranchise another, forcing you to either fix your relationship with them or continue down the road and make them an enemy, both choices are valid and create a new dynamic in the story. Fighting or finding a peaceful solution will also impact Bruce and the world around him, letting him either embrace his "Button Man" persona or find a new path for himself. The choice is yours and the outcome might surprise you.
