Hello, I'm Silviu, a Computer Games Development graduate, and I'm thrilled to introduce my debut commercial game's demo from my solo studio.
This demo of my indie RPG, Rise of the Village Hero, includes the entire first level and provides a solid introduction to the game’s mechanics and what to expect in the early access version.

Story

Rise of the Village Hero transports you to the Kingdom of Dobroja, a once-peaceful realm now on the brink of chaos. As Guy, a hunter returning from the forest, you find your village ablaze and under siege by orcs and goblins. It’s up to you to save your home, uncover the cause of this destruction, and restore peace to the kingdom. Traverse challenging terrain, engage with various factions, and strive to achieve your objectives. Embrace your destiny—will you rise as the hero Dobroja needs?

Features:

• Combat:

At the heart of the game is its engaging combat system. In my RPG, players can easily initiate battles with a single mouse click, using a simple yet effective mechanic.

• Dialogues and Quests:

Dialogues are a key mechanic for storytelling and immersion in the Kingdom of Dobroja. As you traverse the land, interact with diverse NPCs, each with unique tales to share. Your dialogue choices and quest decisions may shape future quests but also drive the story forward.

• Inventory management and stores:

Discover various equipment types, each requiring specific skills to equip. Manage your inventory wisely, choosing which items to keep or trade. Equip different weapons to enhance your attacks and tackle stronger enemies. Find armour and shields as quest rewards or random drops, and visit shops across the kingdom to upgrade your gear.

• Level up:

Defeating enemies earns you experience points. As you level up, you'll receive points to allocate on your character sheet. These can be used to enhance damage, boost health, and gain other valuable bonuses.

• Zoom in/out on the action:

Adjust the camera to zoom in for a closer view of the action or navigate through arches and gateways. Easily find a path forward by clicking on the opposite side of walls. Use this feature to strategically plan your next move and assess enemy positions.
