Why Early Access?

“We want to let people start playing the game without having to wait even longer, but acknowledge that the game isn't quite finished until key features such as PvP are added.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6 months - maybe!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The most important features we want to add before leaving Early Access include:

Player vs Player Combat (PvP).
Special attacks on epic weapons, to make the different factions more distinct.
Episode 5 - Stonemaw Hill.

Even after the game leaves Early Access we still plan to regularly update it with new episodes, new quests, new professions, and other new content. This isn't a game we ever expect to be 'finished'.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is fully playable and already has hundreds of hours of gameplay. There will NOT be a save reset at the end of early access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may change the price once we have more episodes, but do not plan to change the price for anyone who has an existing recurring subscription.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Getting feedback from the community is very important for a game of this type. We will be watching the community hub, and other forums / social media, to see what you think, and which improvements / features you want us to prioritize.”

About This Game

Brighter Shores is an all new adventure from award winning MMORPG designer Andrew Gower. Explore a land of magic and mysteries, with a huge number of professions to try, and something new to find around every corner. Brighter Shores features an ongoing story and hundreds of hours of gameplay.

As the newest recruit in the Hopeport town guard, you are looking to make a name for yourself. This soon turns out to be a more challenging role than you had anticipated, with a strange storm raging over the harbor and unrest from the local goblins.

You will discover powerful magic sources and become one of the legendary classes of old: Cryoknight, Guardian or Hammermage. Which is fortunate, because something is corrupting the deepest reaches of the nearby Hopeforest, and only through the strength of your new-found powers will you be able to deal with it.

Learn a diverse range of professions, such as Fisher, Forager, Chef.

Woodcutter, Miner, Alchemist

Stonemason, Merchant, Blacksmith, and many more!

Encounter a huge variety of fantastical foes over the course of your adventures.

The game will be constantly expanding, with new content being released in an episodic format. Each episode features its own unique side quests, professions and lands, as well as advancing the central story.

There are hours and hours of content you can play for free. However, if you want more stories, professions and places to explore, you can buy a Premium Pass. A Premium Pass gives you many benefits, including access to all released episodes:
