Why Early Access?

“Community feedback is important to make a game that is enjoyable over a larger player base, therefore we want to bring this game out to a wider audience than just a closed testing group. Early access is a chance for us to gather this feedback and improve the final game, and to give the player base continuous updates as the game is developed.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until we receive feedback from the community that play our game, we are not pinning a release date. However, as the feedback comes in and we nail down the final feature set, the release date will be announced. This should not be more than a year from early access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access game has a rudimentary progression set. We want to improve the game with:

  • A deep meta game progression
  • More turrets and utility buildings
  • More enemy types and styles
  • Improved artwork and effects
  • Random events on the star map
  • More music
  • Game optimization and performance fixes
”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The full game loop is implemented and the game already offers some replayability via the basic meta progression.

This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Fighting through the entire game map and reaching a victory state
  • Earning Warpium that can be spent on unlocking new turrets and systems in between runs
  • All the base turrets that define the main gameplay.
  • Battle upgrade trees for each turret, manually picked or randomly chosen for each run

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As we approach full release, we plan to increase the price gradually along with the feature updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our main method of communication will be through Discord. Here players will be able to vote on future game features as well as influence the game development by providing suggestions and bug reports.”

About This Game

You did your job like you were instructed. You terraformed the planet and prepared it for colonization. It's been a millennium since you left Earth, and you finally open the wormhole back to humankind, but instead of greeting you with joy, thousands of ships pour through the wormhole to destroy you.

Build your ship defenses and fight your way through increasingly difficult waves of enemies, accelerate to warp speed, escape to the next sector. Can you make it all the way to the edge of the system and warp to safety?

CONSTRUCT YOUR SHIP
Place down turrets, utility systems, and hull pieces to expand your craft. Use directed shields and repair systems for protection, and turrets of various types to take down the inbound enemies.

WARP TO NEW SECTORS
Survive for long enough to reach warp speed! Your thrusters will continuously accelerate your ship until you are at high enough velocity to make a short range warp jump to the next sector. But beware, the enemy waves will be stronger the longer you spend in a sector!

GROW YOUR ARTIFICIAL MIND
Pick upgrades with as you jump to the next sector, expanding your artificial mind into freshly grown substrate. These upgrades will help you best the increasing threat of the swarm.

WARPIUM AND META GAME UPGRADES
Gather Warpium by destroying enemies and studying the warp dimension. Use the gathered data to upgrade your arsenal between runs, purchasing powerful modifications to your technologies.
