What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We believe that a story-driven mystery game becomes even stronger when it evolves with the community. Kill The Clock features a time-loop structure, character stat customization, and dice-based decision-making—all systems that benefit from player feedback to ensure balance, pacing, and immersion.

By releasing in Early Access, we hope to fine-tune the gameplay experience based on real player input, improve accessibility and usability, and polish narrative routes before the full launch. This approach allows us to deliver a more refined, meaningful game where every choice truly matters.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate the game being in Early Access for approximately 6-12 months before the full release. During this time, we'll be actively engaging with the community, incorporating valuable feedback, and fine-tuning the game to deliver an exceptional final product.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version, we plan to add additional content, including the final two chapters (Chapters 3 and 4), more character routes, and expanded gameplay features.
We're also planning to enhance animations, polish narrative branches, and refine the overall pacing and balance based on community feedback throughout Early Access.

While we have clear goals for the final release, we’re also remaining flexible—so we can grow the game in the direction players care most about.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is stable and playable, with all core systems implemented. Players can currently experience content through Chapter 2 out of 4, including branching choices, dice mechanics, and multiple endings.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Kill The Clock will be priced lower during Early Access.
As we add more content and move closer to the full release, we plan to increase the price to reflect the game's expanded scope and improvements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We’ll actively use the Steam Community forums to share progress, collect feedback, and respond to suggestions. We also plan to post monthly development updates to keep players informed about upcoming changes, fixes, and new content.

For behind-the-scenes insights and more frequent interaction, players can also follow us on Twitter/X and join the conversation there.”
