“The game has a story mode and an Free Play Mode. The Early Access version will only give access to the Free Play Mode, so you won't be able to get units or cards that you can get in story mode. However, the two modes have the same gameplay flow, with or without a story, and while we work on the Early Access period, the story mode will be refinced properly for its full release.”

“During the Early Access period the game will only include the Free Play Mode, which is basically just the gameplay. without the story. We are working on the story mode separately
The game has been well-received internally and at game shows, so we're hopeful that it will be good to go for release.

Basically the game has 16 rounds to reach the ending, and there are 4 major bosses.
Each round has multiple waves of enemies, and each of those waves has multiple turns.
Each of these waves have roguelike events popping up, and you can choose the various events (adding units, assessing builds for the game etc.)
Each wave would take 20 minutes to 45 minutes, up to one hour depending on play style.

In Early Access changes on balancing, difficulty, or game tempo might be adjusted, according to player feedback.”

“Through the community, we hope to get feedback on the game's balance and fun factor. There are so many strategies that can be done with card and unit combinations in the game, and once players have tried them out, they can discuss what they liked and didn't like about them in the Steam forums. Both the publisher and the development team will be listening, and many of these things will be updated in-game.”
