From ruined temples of forgotten gods to grand cities sustained by coin and trade, explore a world shaped by classical antiquity and mythology. Our story takes place in a land scarred by an ancient conflict known as the Rending, a cataclysmic battle between divine gods that shattered civilization into waning tribes scattered across land and sea.

As fragile peace gives way to ambition, the greed of mortals threatens what remains of this broken land. From the west, an empire watches with hungry eyes; a nation led by an aging, childless emperor, his blood-brambled crown heavy with the weight of countless schemes and quiet cruelty. In this world, power is rarely won without cost, and it is most often the weak and innocent who suffer for it.

Play as Wedelia, a young ranger chosen by sacred rite to become the spiritual leader of her tribe. Torn from a once-peaceful life, her journey begins in the safety of her village before outside forces and growing unrest push her into a widening conflict that threatens to engulf her world in steel and mourning. Wedelia must somehow find the strength to liberate her people and overcome the dread whispers that seep deeper into her thoughts with each passing moon.

Along the way, she is joined by a diverse cast of companions, including a stalwart ranger, a whimsical sylph, a nouveau-rich noble, and a cursed warrior. Each brings their own perspective, personality, and affinity for distinct character classes.

In a world watched over by a meddlesome and merciless pantheon, Sunflowers and the Goddess of Death tells a tragic, heart-tugging journey of war, belief, and loss. 

🌻 Twelve character classes, each with their own unique playstyle and approach to combat. As a Witch, use your own health to fuel powerful offensive magic and buff allies with incredible boons, but such magic requires a sacrifice from the recipient…

🌻 Time-progress battle system: A system inspired by the RPGs of the late 90s and early 2000s. Actions occur in pseudo-real-time with pauses as character turns begin.

🌻 No random battles: Fight as much or as little as you wish, with difficulty settings tailored to different playstyles.

🌻 A reactive world powered by magic:  Use spells discovered across your journey to influence the world around you. Solve puzzles, uncover hidden treasure, and reveal secret areas with optional boss encounters and mysterious lore. From growing vines and lighting tinder, to moving objects and skipping across water, exploration magic rewards curiosity.

🌻 Story-driven, turn-based RPG centered around a young woman determined to protect her people from the crimson machinations of a dread goddess and the iron rule of an invading empire. A tragic tale, yet one with moments of lightheartedness and hope.

🌻 Old-school inspired art: handcrafted 2D landscapes accompanied by 3D graphical effects and an enchanting, at times haunting, soundtrack.  Immerse yourself in a world of deep magical forests, ancient vine-covered ruins, and sleepy villages housing dark secrets within their boughs.

🌻 Accessibility-minded design: Keyboard and controller support/customization, reviewable catalog of tutorials diving into core game mechanics, adjustable UI color schemes, auto-battle options for grinding, and much more. The world of Urdin is yours to discover.
