Endure or Perish
Endure or Perish is an open world survival game played in the FP view. In order to survive you will need to gather resources from the land, manage your inventory, and build a base that you can retreat to when the going gets hard. Can you adapt and overcome? The choice is yours: endure or perish.

„We plan to keep the game in Early Access for as long as it takes to reach the point where we are happy with the content and gameplay. It’s hard to establish a concrete timeline but hopefully that will be with in the next few years.“

„The full vision of this game will differ in that, as the game evolves from player feedback, we plan to add a larger map with multiple biomes. We plan to add a dynamic weather and seasons in a future update. We plan to add features such as a land vehicle system, aircraft system, new and improved AI, more crafting options, more crafting tables as more raw resources are introduced to the game, and an even more robust building system, with new buildables. We also plan to include animal husbandry and resource farming.“

„The state of the current game as it stands is fresh out of development and rapidly improving and evolving. Players can expect the same systems usually found within other open world survival games, including a robust crafting system, a way to harvest raw resources, zombie AI, animal AI, combat, as well as a robust building system. As many major bugs have been worked out as have been found by the developer and others who have played the game, but the game is in development and will contain bugs which will be fixed as soon as possible upon receiving feedback from players.“

Addressing Abusive Reviews

Attention Gamers!

Our fans should be aware that we value and endorse individual opinions and beliefs, emphasizing everyone's right to express their thoughts. Nonetheless, advocating opinions without substantiated evidence is not within our support. We strongly condemn any form of abusive conduct and strive for the gaming community to remain a secure environment where gaming enthusiasts can unite, celebrating both their disparities and commonalities. It is our conviction that in case of dissatisfaction with a studio or its products, providing a courteous and truthful review is more effective than resorting to disparaging remarks and slanderous language.

It, unfortunately, has come to our knowledge that there has been a review left that, yes has the gamers opinions, which he has a right to have and share, but it also contains very abusive and slanderous language, as well as baseless accusations.

Our game has been accused of being a carbon copy of another developer's work by the name of Difuse Studios. the work being called The Survival Game Kit. We at Ascent Gaming Studios did not know such an asset pack existed until we reviewed our recent reviews. After carefully reading this user's review, we could not find any facts or evidence in the review to explain why the user believes our game is a carbon copy and thus an asset flip. Curious to see how alike our game was to the asset pack, we acquired it and looked over how it functions on the gaming level and we can say that from the outside it does appear to use many of the same systems that we use in our game, but so does a lot of other very popular games that are available on the steam platform, many of which are favorites of our crew. However, when you look at what's going on under the hood, so to speak, it begins to become quite evident that the coding and implementation could not be more different. The best way we can put it is a difference between gasoline cars and electric cars. On the outside they function practically identically, they get you from point a to point b, but under the hood the way the cars accomplish this could not be more different.

We agree that there are developers out there that may be asset flipping, but writing a slanderous review with no evidence as to why the work is an asset flip does no one any help both in the player community, as well as in the developer community. Simply because a game appears to have the same functionality as other popular games and asset packs does not make those games Asset Flips. If it did, then some of the most popular games on Steam would be considered Asset Flips.

We strongly believe that everyone has a right to their opinion and would never discourage a truthful and respectful review of our work, whether positive or negative. While developers prefer positive reviews, negative reviews, at least the truthful, honest, and respectful reviews, are the most helpful as they provide developers insight into how they can improve their work to meet the expectations of their audience.

The only thing we at Ascent Gaming Studios ask is if you have questions, concerns, or comments, to reach out to us. We are willing to have a respectful and honest discussion and willing to answer any questions with transparency. And if our game, or anyone's game for that matter, just isn't to your liking we encourage you to leave a review explaining why, but we ask that you are truthful, respectful, and honest.

5 years ago, scientists were on the brink of the discovery of a life time…the cure to cancer. They were using a specialized target and delivery medication of a modified virus directly into the cancer cells. While several trials had showed promise, a side effect was discovered they hadn’t planned on. The virus mutated. While it killed the cancer, it also killed its host, but a few days later the host reanimated and turned on the staff of the facility. Although attempts were made to stop the infected from getting out, once one of the infected breached the walls of the facility the inevitable happened…the end of the world as we know it.

Having been a few years since the initial outbreak you are the lone survivor in a now vast and unknown world. While you are not alone in the world, there are no other survivors, only the infected, and wild animals some harmless and some hostile. You have no food and only your survival skills to keep you alive.

To survive in this post-apocalyptic world, you:
1. Must gather resources from around the map.
a. Resources can be gathered from nearly everything on the map from every tree encountered to every boulder, to sticks and stones that lay on the
ground.
2. You must craft your weapons to defend against the horde of infected, hostile wild animals, and to hunt food.
3. You must craft your tools to help build your base, a place you can store your gathered materials and a place to retreat to when you are injured to heal up
and prepare for round two.
4. With your tools, food, and weapons, you will gather loot that is found in and amongst the houses and the abandoned base.
