Why Early Access?

“We're using Early Access to tune the core loop with real players. The game is fully playable, but balance, pacing, and polish benefit from feedback, especially around the between-wave upgrades, permanent upgrades, and the Ship player feel.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're close. The game is feature complete and in a release-candidate polish phase. We'll leave Early Access when stability, balance, and UI/UX meet our bar. No fixed date. If new issues come up, we'll take the time to fix them.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“1.0 focuses on polish and balance: upgrade tiers/stacking, wave pacing, UI/UX, VFX/SFX, and bug fixes. We may add a small number of upgrades/cosmetics where they improve variety. Post-release, our 1.1 goal is online multiplayer. Plans can change based on testing and feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“PolyDestroyer is playable and stable. The core loop is in: after each wave you choose one of three random, tiered upgrades that stack during the run. Between runs you spend coins on permanent upgrades and cosmetics. In combat you use turbo to reposition and Shield for brief invulnerability. Weapons are found during runs and equipped for the next run, while ships are cosmetic only. Steam Achievements, full controller support, and eight languages are included. Expect ongoing balance changes, UI/UX polish, performance work, and bug fixes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect a modest price increase at 1.0. The price will stay as-is during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We post patch notes, read the Steam Discussions, and review bug reports and balance feedback. We'll share what we're working on and why, and adjust based on player data and comments. We also keep an active Discord server for quicker feedback and small playtests when needed.”

About This Game

PolyDestroyer is a wave-based top-down space shooter about smart picks and staying alive as the arena gets busier. After each wave you choose one of three random, tiered upgrades. These upgrades stack during the run and shape your build.

Between runs you spend coins on permanent upgrades that raise your baseline power and open new options. In combat, Turbo helps you reposition or escape danger, and Shield gives brief safety for clutch moments.

Runs are short and readable. The core decisions are which upgrade to take and when to use a Turbo/Shield.
